Places to Explore in Kumarakom

Kumarakom in Kerala's Kottayam district is one of the beautiful spots in India. A group of small islands with lush greenery along the Vembanad Lake is commonly known as Kumarakom. This museum features a rare collection of statues made from driftwood. These statues are made from the driftwood gathered from the coasts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The trunks and roots of trees in their journey through the ocean get shaped by Mother Nature into various noticeable forms such as birds, animals, and fishes, before being washed onshore.

Pathiramanal

An island measuring 10 acres in size located in the middle of the Vembanad Lake, Pathiramanal is home to diverse species of beautiful birds, including rare ones that have migrated from far-off lands. Places of worship
